Here is our exercise for the day….lifting “Magic Matt” We are STRONG. We are DEDICATED. And we sure know how to have a good time doing it!

We started off with walking the dogs, and from there we now hike, we have done two mud run obstacle courses and have a third planned, we rock climb, and are training to run a 5K. We would never have thought it was possible to feel this good being active. There is life beyond the couch!!!

Mini Challenge #3: Second Nutrition Challenge—Favorite Team Recipe & Photo

Turkey Meatloaf Muffins! Ingredients: 1 tbsp olive oil 1 onion chipped 2 garlic cloves, minced 3/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1/3 cup chicken broth (low sodium) 3 tbps ketchup 1 3/4lbs ground turkey breast 3/4 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs 1 egg, beaten 1 egg white, beaten

Preparation: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Heat oil in skillet, add onion and cook about 5 minutes. Add garlic, 1/4 tsp of salt and 1/4 tsp pepper. Stir in worcestershire sauce, broth and 1 tbsp ketchup, transfer mixture to a large bowl. 2. Combine turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, egg white and remaining 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper in bowl and mix well. combine with onion mixture (Mixture will be very moise). 3. Divide mixture into 12 muffin cups. Brush meatloaf evenly with remaining ketchup and bake 1 hour. Enjoy with a side of steamed broccoli and half roasted sweet potato!

Please vote for our recipe – healthy & delicious. *** Crunchy, Spicy Hummus Wrap *** Your need: 1 Avocado in spears *** 1/2 Lemon, juiced *** 1 cup chipotle hummus *** 6 medium tortillas *** 2 cups sliced Persian cucumber *** 3 medium carrots julienned *** 1 artisan lettuce. *** Assemble by spreading the hummus on the tortilla, place all other items on the tortilla and roll up.

Mini Challenge #2: First Nutrition Challenge—Healthy Meal Team Photo

Here is our team preparing our meals for the week! We enjoyed Quinoa stuffed peppers, Spicy Turkey Chili, Meatloaf Muffins, Grilled Chicken and Vegetables and Spinach and Strawberry salads! Yum!

We so appreciate your vote – thanks in advance! With the warm weather and the 4th of July holiday upon us, our team has put together a picnic basket for you! Just multiply the ingredients by the number of people in your group.

Greek Salad Club Sandwich: Take 2 pita bread halves, smear 2 tbsp. hummus on the inside, stuff cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, 2 tbsp. feta.

Fruit Salad with Honey Mint Dressing: Place all ingredients in bowl and mix: .25 cut up cantaloupe, .5 cup quartered strawberries, .25 cup seedless grapes, .5 kiwi cubed, chopped mint, 1 tbsp. lime juice, 1 tbsp. orange juice, .5 tbsp. honey.

Italian Popcorn: Take 2 cups air popped popcorn and place in bag with 1 tbsp. grated Parmesan, 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning, 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper and mix

Mini Challenge #1: Team Synergy—Before Photo & Team Facebook Page

Congratulations to all of the teams that participated in the Team Synergy Mini Challenge! It was a very close call among the top 2 teams!

In May of 2012 this team banded together in honor of our nephew Nick who was diagnosed with Leukemia in March 2012. We are hoping to turn our extra pounds into fundraising dollars for Nick. We thank you for your support during this challenge!
