When we don’t feel like exercising we make ourselves jump on the treadmill for just 5 minutes, the next thing you know 5 turns into 10 and 10 turns into 20. In just 20 minutes you can walk over a mile and burn 160 calories. It is a great way to start the day to help us kick our metabolism up and burn more calories all day long.

Team Drop It Like It’s Fat enjoying a delicious and healthy lunch at Dig Inn on East 17th Street. Spanish brown rice, braised beef and brussels sprouts, lemon chicken with steamed spinach, tomato and cucumber salad, wheatberry salad, Indian spiced carrots, roasted sweet potatoes, rosemary turkey, peanut butter and pomegranate pear shakes, etc. And all of it low in calories and mm mm gooood.

Creamy Roasted Red Pepper Tomato Soup: 2 cups of low sodium Roasted Red Pepper Tomato soup, 1/2 cup cooked Chicken breast chopped. 1/8 cup of mozzarella cheese, Place soup in pan on medium heat, bring to slow simmer. Add cooked Chicken and continue heating for 5 minutes. Pour soup into bowl add cheese. This recipe has 356 calories is low fat, high protein, make sure to use the low sodium style.

Quick Colorful Salad For a quick and healthy meal, mix a cup of baby arugula, baby spinach, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, 1 salary stick (cut into small pieces), ½ cucumber cut into 4 pieces or slices. Toss a few almonds, cashews, and pine nuts. Instead of dressing, sprinkle a little bit of salt and lime juice or apple cider vinegar and extra virgin olive oil.
